I will rejoice and be glad
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
As I have watched the world around us change on a daily basis during these last few weeks, it has become ever clearer that our Lord is still on the throne. Yes, most of us have had to make changes to our daily routines but guess what? Not all changes have been bad. I have heard stories of how families are doing more things together, neighbors are talking to and caring for each other like never before in recent years. On the whole, our pace of life had increased over the past preceding years to an unhealthy speed. It is not good for any of us to constantly go, go, go.
We were created by our creator to enjoy his creation which not only means those around us but also the things HE put in place around us. Here in Branson, Missouri we are enjoying a beautiful spring. I have been blessed to experience the wild pear blossoms early in spring. That was followed by the pink blossoms on the redbud trees. Just last week we were able to breathe in the aromatic scent of the dogwoods.
Our God truly is an amazing God. He didn’t create us all the same. (Thank heavens, most of you say!) He also didn’t just create the trees and nature all the same. Each one is different but beautiful.
If you haven’t already, cultivate a grateful heart. Each morning thank HIM for at least one blessing in your life. Continue that thankfulness throughout the day. You’ll be amazed how your perspective on life will change.
Blessings,
Susan
