A New Beginning

Each day is a new day…a new beginning.

It’s a new beginning here in Branson!

Last night, raindrops hit the glass on the window in my bedroom. Hearing the splatter, I stirred and wondered how long the rain would last? Would it impact the morning? My day? Would friends and customers even venture out in bad weather or be hampered by the rain?  

By morning’s light, I realized those raindrops had washed the roads spotless, cleaned the air of pollen that has been rendering my sinuses a challenge and caused the baby birds and their parents to sing and chirp with joy.

What was I worried about? Today is a new day. The old is gone and I have another day to share the story of the miracle that launched The Copper Coin nine years ago.

Isaiah 42:9-10 came to mind and I rejoiced as I read:   

See, the former things have taken place,
    and new things I declare;
before they spring into being
    I announce them to you.”

¹⁰ Sing to the Lord a new song,
    his praise from the ends of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
    you islands, and all who live in them.

And so, rejoice! Be excited! This is a new day. All that is passed is gone away.

As for those happy birds in the woods behind my house, they remind me, this is a new day. Branson is coming to life again in a new way. And so is The Copper Coin.
